Government Computer College (GCC) was founded on September, 2001. In 2007 it was reformed as University of Computer Studies, Hinthada (UCSH). UCSH is located in Hinthada Township, Ayeyarwady Region, Myanmar. UCSH is one of the higher educational institutions under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Myanmar. UCSH is a university that offers internationally standardized courses in the fields of computer science and computer technology. Mandalay Technological University was established on 1st October 1991 as an Institute of Technology under the Ministry of Education from No.2. Industrial Training Center under the Ministry of Industry (1). On 1st January, 1997, Ministry of Education (MOE) handed Mandalay Institute of Technology over to Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) after it was established. On 1st July, 1998, Mandalay Institute of Technology was renamed Mandalay Technological University (MTU). The university has proceeded to increase and develop to meet the requirement of Science and Technology. MTU is situated on a 704.70 acre campus in the east of Yankin hill and Mandalay canal, Patheingyi Township, Mandalay.
